Solution Sales Executive, Population Health Management


To aggressively build upon GSI Health’s strong market presence in population health management by executing on a high volume of growth opportunities across the United States. The ideal candidate is a self-confident and driven individual with a track record of successfully exceeding sales quotas selling in long sales cycles to multiple buyers, selection committees, and executives. The candidate will be responsible for carrying out the GSI Health sales process, leading the development of a strong sales pipeline, and collaborating with a team focused on attaining new clients in the population health space. Position responsibilities are summarized below. This is an exempt position.

This position reports to the Vice President of Sales.

Position Summary

The candidate’s responsibilities shall include, but not limited to:

  • Exceed agreed upon sales quota including ongoing reporting of progress towards goals
  • Execute and apply the fundamentals of a formal sales process
  • Develop and execute a territory plan that capitalizes on company market sales targets
  • Develop understanding of GSI Health technology and service offerings to deliver accurate summary of the company’s offerings and align within first 90 days
  • Prospect for and qualify leads among hospitals/health systems and health plans in target markets
  • Cultivate and maintain trusted advisory relationships with prospects, decision makers, and top executive officers
  • Build, maintain and apply knowledge of the competitive environment within population health and care management segment
  • Maintain current knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare value-based programs, population health,and care management initiatives and incentives in assigned markets
  • Provide thorough and accurate documentation of all sales-related activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Fundamental Requirements

The candidate must have 3 to 5 years of outside sales experience, healthcare IT preferred. However, success in both creating and closing opportunities in a dynamic, highly competitive environment will be considered.

  • Track record of winning or being a finalist of 2 or more in first 12 months of employment
  • Consistent history of exceeding sales quota
  • Process oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Experience managing sales with multiple decision makers, and getting to the top executive level quickly
  • Experience managing sales cycle averaging six months or more
  • Software-savvy and capable of demonstrating software solutions
  • History of applying a proven sales methodology (Sandler, Miller Heiman, etc.)
  • Proficiency with or any other CRM
  • Ability to travel more than 50%


  • BA/BS required
  • Master’s degree a plus
  • Experience selling solutions supporting value-based care reform, Medicaid and Medicare population health and care management a plus
