Application Developer

Position Summary

• Participate in the design, construction, testing and defect repair of healthcare information technology applications software
• Participate in planning and estimating software development tasks
• Participate in product release planning
• Perform other duties as assigned

Fundamental Requirements

• Candidate must have 5+ recent years of experience as a senior software developer with specific knowledge of Health Information Exchange (HIE), Java/web services and Service Oriented Architecture
• Specific recent development experience desired includes:
  • Integrating the Health Enterprise (IHE) Patient Identifier Cross Referencing (PIX) and Patient Demographics Query (PDQ) transaction processing, and/or Cross-Enterprise Document Sharing (XDS) strongly desired
  • Health Level Seven (HL7) lab-based message transaction processing
  • Business Intelligence/Analytics application development experience in calculating quality of care or pay for performance measurements related healthcare analytics    
• Technical proficiency in Web Services-Interoperability (WS-I) application services
• Prior experience with UDDI, SAML, XML, XACML, SOAP, WS-RM and WS-Security preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in computer science or related field preferred
• Ability to travel occasionally to client sites or other locations as required
