GSI Health has Experience Providing Successful Technology Solutions on Every Scale to Healthcare Organizations of Every Size

Expertise Forged in the Trenches, Wisdom Cultivated in Leadership

GSI, LLC was founded in 2001 as a technical solutions provider, and served a variety of clients in different industries. However, given our founder's extensive background in healthcare technology, most of our clientele came from that industry, and it became apparent that we more closely resembled a healthcare technology firm than a general solutions provider. Our clients have included: physician practices; healthcare foundations; regional healthcare communities; healthcare application vendors; and healthcare consultants, among others. Our work has included: creating software applications for health data exchange; integrating patient longitudinal data; evaluating the state of the art in master person index (MPI) commercial software; authoring requirements for widespread data sharing for labs, pharmacies, and providers; and designing technical architectures and operational models for regional data exchange, as well as other types of solutions. Most recently, we have added the Federal Government as our client, having been retained by The Administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONCHIT). In these roles, we have: critically evaluated the technical infrastructure that supports the entire flow of Medicare data in the country; provided leadership within the Federal Health Architecture (FHA) in reconciling healthcare architectures across the government; and helped define the national agenda for health information technology through co-authorship of ONCHIT's Framework for Strategic Action, and leadership of the nationwide health information network (NHIN) initiative. These experiences, coupled with our founder's experience in servicing hospitals/hospital systems, managed care organizations, pharmaceutical companies, and one of the nation's first mature regional health information organizations (RHIO), truly puts GSI Health in an elite class of companies capable of meeting clients' needs across the entire healthcare continuum.
